This was my favorite shabu spot back in 2018, and it's still one of the best! The variety of soup bases made it super easy to experiment and find your favorites, service is always rapid and fast, and back then, the prices were unbeatable for the quality and portions you got. One thing that sets this place apart is the variety of soup options--it's rare to find so many choices at a shabu spot. Plus, the T-Rex option is a game-changer if you're a meat lover! You get a bigger meat-to-veggie ratio without paying extra, which is such a great deal. The food is still really tasty, though I've noticed a slight dip in quality since 2018. It's nothing major, but it's worth mentioning. I still wish they'd open a location in OC because, for the price and value, this place is hard to beat. Definitely a go-to spot if you're in the area!

Tried the ayce for the first time... everything was delicious very good on a. Cold cold day warms you up really well .. service was great you get a good variety of soup bases and dipping sauces but just be aware certain soups bubble over more than others

Still my favorite go to hot pot restaurant. Can't beat the variety of flavors and meat options. They now do all you can eat, although I have never tried it yet. Would highly recommend.

The food here was delicious! My cousin and I both got premium beef, spicy pork broth and Taiwanese spicy broth. The Taiwanese spicy broth was really spicy (the kind that tickles your throat). The spicy pork broth was easier to eat. Along with the broth and meat we got cabbage, broccoli, noodles, crab sticks, a fish ball and eggs. I think we got a good amount of meat and veggies for the price. When we walked in there was a tablet to sign up for the waitlist. It was 8:30 pm on a Saturday night and wasn't too busy. We only waited a few minutes before being seated. The service was great, the workers were consistently walking around and checking in on us. The seating was comfortable with booths and chairs. There were four burners on our table, but there were larger tables than ours if you have a bigger group. Overall I would come back so I can try the other broths :)

The ambiance is quite dark colored but well lit and there are many booths. The hot pot spaces are individual pots so that everyone can get what they want. The service is great. Whenever we needed anything it was easy to flag down a waiter/waitress and request what we needed which was delivered in a reasonable time. You can choose between a set menu and ayce which is great. The menu you can get via QR code at the table if needed. There is a lot of meat options with decent quality meats and sauce options. The range of broths is rather impressive as many hot pot places do not offer as many options. The overall quality isn't the best hot pot I've had but for the price and quantity(set menu) hits the spot. You can choose to have more meat and less veggies or more veggies and less meat in the set menu so it's very fitting for everyone. The amount of customization is unmatched. Definitely satisfying and will be coming back

Used to come here often because the food and prices were great - especially their broths. Prices went up a bit and there were other places to try, so it had been a while since we've been here. Saw that they added an AYCE feature and decided to try it out. It was $36 or so for a Saturday night, but comparable to other places. The food is still good and we definitely ate our money's worth. Service was fast and friendly, and the place still has the dark, jazz club vibe they're going for. Glad we tried the AYCE out. If I'm in the mood for good hot pot, especially the spicy seafood essence, Jazz Cat is still a good option.

It's been a hot minute since I've been here. Came here w my girlfriend along w our girls to start off a mommie & mee date. 06.24.24 during dinner time a little past 5 on a Sunday. No wait and we were able to get seated right away. Wasn't busy at all. Service was fast and great. The associates/servers kept checking in on us along w making their rounds and was easily to flag down for extra utensils/dipping sauce etc. Now offering AYCE. Located in same plaza as Half & Half, Slurp Ramen, Pelicana chicken, Junbi Boba to name a few. Parking is easy accessible.

Babe, wake up. New Jazz Cat AYCE update just dropped. Lunch pricing is $26.95 from 11:30 to 3:30. Dinner pricing is $36.95 from 3:30 to closing. You can also add additional stuff (at an addl cost obv) or upgrade to their premium menu which offers seafood. My wife and I said screw it and decided to give their AYCE option a try. In a way, our usual order was better. We typically share a pot and order an extra bowl of rice and some other tasty sides and it's always more than enough. The AYCE experience kinda makes you want to eat more so you get your money's worth, so you aren't really appreciating what's in front of you (in my opinion). Other huge downside was the steep cost. It cost us a staggering $94 after tax and tip whereas our usual tab is around $50-$60? I guess it was cool being able to order another broth and trying out different sauces since my wife and I always tend to stick to the usual (Spicy seafood essence and satay sauce). The Taiwanese Spicy Satay was just *alright.* We've tried their other broths as well and they were also just okay. The Spicy Seafood Essence is by far the best broth we've had. Worth it? Not in my book. My wife and I will stick to their regular menu. In short, I feel like I got the same level of satisfaction/experience, but at a significantly higher cost. Maybe the AYCE thing wasn't meant for us, but maybe it will be for you!
